Velmira started the way most great food stories do — with a craving that couldn't be satisfied by anything on the shelf.
We wanted samosas that tasted like they came from a home kitchen: properly spiced, generously filled, and crispy in the right way. Not the pale, underseasoned versions sitting in supermarket freezers. Not the ones where the filling is 90% filler. We wanted the real thing — so we made our own.
Our friends asked for them. Then their friends did. Word spread the way good food always does — one plate at a time. What started as a kitchen experiment became something people were genuinely excited about.
So here we are. Velmira is a Pune-based frozen food startup with one simple promise: honest, homestyle flavors in your freezer. We're starting with samosas. We won't stop there.
